Our WMHS Spring Musical is this week - 'Between The Lines'! This will run Thursday-Saturday at 7pm in our Auditorium. Hope you can make it to the performance. It will be dynamic!

Dear Zebra Families,
We recently found a bed bug in your child's classroom. Bed bugs are a nuisance, but their bites are not known to spread disease. Bed bugs are usually active at night and feed on human blood. The bite does not hurt at first, but it may become swollen and itch, much like a mosquito bite. Watch for clusters of bites, usually in a line, on exposed body areas. If you have medical concerns for you or your child, please contact your doctor.
The source of bed bugs often cannot be determined, as they may be found in many places, including hotels, planes, and movie theaters. Even though it is unlikely for bed bugs to infest a school, Wayne-Westland Community Schools will conduct an inspection and, if needed, implement an integrated pest management plan in the area where the bed bug was found.

Wayne-Westland Community Schools is hosting a 3v3 basketball tournament for grades 4-12 on May 11 at John Glenn High School!
- $25 per player
- Coed teams
- 4 players per team
- Half-court game format
- 3 game minimum
- Must be enrolled in Wayne-Westland Community Schools

We have a few more Test Days coming this week:
- SAT make up day: is April 16. We will reach out to the scholars that need to do the make up
- M-Step Testing day: is April 17. Scholars - please make sure to follow the information that will be provided to you. Make sure to do your very best.
We are now over half way though the month of April. The 4th Quarter is moving right along. Stay on top of your studies. Make good choices.

Students - please make sure to follow the information that will be provided to you for our two State Testing Days on April 10 and April 11. Make sure to do your very best on those State Tests as your scores show how the education is going here at Wayne Memorial High School AND it can get you scholarship funds to help better support your future plans and goals. You got this! We got you!
Welcome back from spring break! I hope that you had an amazing break and are energized to finish out the 3rd Quarter and the 4th Quarter. This school year is moving along quickly right now! Stay on track or get on track. The time is now in this 2nd semester. FINISH STRONG!!
Last full week before spring break. At the end of the day Friday, March 22 we will be off from March 25-29.
Last full week of schooling for the month of March. We will be back on Monday, April 1st. That Friday, April 5, is the last day of the 3rd Quarter. You need to make sure that your work has been completed, turned in, with your grades as high as you can get them prior to spring break as the 3rd Quarter is coming to an end.

Our winter sports have concluded for this year. Congratulations to all of winter sports coaches and student-athletes. Overall, you made us very proud in competing with pride, discipline, and class.
Spring sports start up Monday (March 11). Get in involved - join a team, a club, or an activity group this spring. The rewards can be great!
Congratulations to our WMHS Band! The Symphony Orchestra received a first division rating for the first time in a number of years and the Symphony Band earned straight I's and almost all A's with one B+.

Our College and Career Department is running the Sophomore Career Day Event this Tuesday from 12:55-2pm. The Event will take place in our Alumni Arena. This is an amazing Event. Sophomores - you need to scan the QR Code to register. FYI, this is the same QR Code that I emailed out two times to you last week. Please complete that right away.

I hope that everyone had an amazing weekend.
First full week of March.... Things are moving right along here now. The days are getting longer and spring time is near. The warmer weather is right around the corner.
Congratulations to our Boys Basketball on winning the District Championship Friday night. What a win for the program! They will now be playing in the Regionals. Their first game is this Tuesday at Northville HS vs. Ypsilanti Lincoln. Tip off will be at 5:30pm.
